How your favorite bodybuilders celebrated Thanksgiving

Let’s take a look at how some of the world’s best bodybuilders celebrated Thanksgiving!

The sport of bodybuilding requires serious dedication and support. Many athletes attribute their success to their families back home. At this time of year, everyone can really take the time to recognize and celebrate.

With Thanksgiving behind us, that means Christmas and New Years are just around the corner. Before we get into the month of December, let’s see how some of the best bodybuilders in the sport celebrated Thanksgiving.

Brandon’s curry

Brandon Curry has built one of the best physique in the sport today. In 2019, Curry rose to the top by winning both the Arnold Classic and the Olympia. In each of the past two years, Curry has finished second in the most important competition of the year. Bodybuilders can certainly eat an impressive amount of food throughout the day which makes Thanksgiving even better. Curry spent the vacation in Murfreesboro, TN, where he admitted his wife, Brandy, was cooking.

Terrence Ruffin

It’s been a hell of a year for Terrence Ruffin. He managed to get over the bump and win the Arnold Classic before finishing second ahead Chris Bumstead again at the Olympia. The Classic Physique division is the one that is starting to gain the upper hand and is among the best competitors in the world. Ruffin is at the top. On Thanksgiving Day, Ruffin celebrated in his home state of Alabama, surrounded by his family.

Labrador hunter

Hunter Labrada continues to be one of the fastest rising stars in bodybuilding. This was proven with his fourth place finish at this year’s Olympia. He was seen celebrating with his daughter on stage after winning the Chicago Pro in July and that’s exactly how he spent the holidays at home with his family.

Regan grimes

Regan Grimes has been on a roll since hiring a new coach after Olympia. He has already qualified for the 2022 show with a KO Pro Egypt victory. Grimes is no stranger to traveling to build the best physique possible. Grimes has been seen training in different areas all over the world and Thanksgiving was no different. He vacationed in Cancun but continued to focus on cardio, training and diet.

Andrea Shaw

Two-time defending champion Ms. Olympia made sure to remember the ones we’ve lost in bodybuilding this year. Shaw posted a photo with the word “thanking” displayed in front of candles reminding everyone to keep them in mind. Shaw specifically tagged George Peterson, Shawn Rhoden and Jennifer Hernandez.

Ronnie coleman

The dedication we mentioned above, there is perhaps no better example than Ronnie Coleman. The eight-time champion of Olympia was at the top of the sport for more than a decade at its peak. At 57, Coleman is still crushing the gym and working out to improve his physique. Do you think it would be different for Thanksgiving?

Jennifer dorie

The Bikini division has grown into one of the most important in bodybuilding. This was on display at the Olympia with many competitors from all over the world taking the stage. Jennifer Dorie had an impressive year winning the Arnold Classic followed by the Olympia two weeks later. On Thursday, in her Instagram story, Dorie shared all the activities done to celebrate. This includes a great meal and decorating gingerbread houses.

Juan Morel

Juan Morel started bodybuilding at 22 and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. During his career he has won victories at big shows such as the New York Pro and the Toronto Pro. On Thanksgiving Day, Morel spent the day with his family.

Whitney jones

Whitney Jones regained her Olympia title this year after finishing third in 2020. Jones is a three-time Olympia Fitness champion with a lot more to give. She has another chance to win in 2022 and will be one of the favorites on stage. On Thanksgiving Day, Jones shared a photo in the middle of his two sons. She took the time to thank and to issue a call to action so that everyone can enjoy the time with their family.

Lauralie Chapados

There is clearly a high level in the Bikini division and Lauralie Chapados is one of them. She proved it by finishing vice-champion of Dorie at the Olympia. Chapados continues to improve every time she takes the stage. This year was the very first time she celebrated Thanksgiving, which she shared on her Instagram story. Chapados has spent the day at the family home of her boyfriend, Aldo Paredes. He also took to Instagram to share that it was Chapados’ first Thanksgiving but also the first time she had tasted her mother’s food.
