Josh Gordon signs with Titans practice squad

Derrick Henry will be the highest-paid running back in 2022 after the Tennessee Titans gave him a $2 million raise for this season, according to multiple reports.

According ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Now Henry’s contract will be worth $10.5 in 2023 – which is also the last year of his contract and sets him up for another extension either after this season or after next season.

It’s an intriguing move for the Titans that gives them more options going forward based on how Henry performs this year. He’s coming off a season-crippling foot injury that cost him nine games in 2021 but still managed nearly 1,000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in the first half. He played in the Titans’ only playoff game, but only passed for 62 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown in the AFC Divisional Round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Henry, 28, led the NFL in rushing attempts, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in the 2019 and 2020 seasons and has led the league in all three statistics since 2018.
