Love & Thunder Workout Routine

Thor: Love and Thunder Star Natalie Portman walks her through the workout routine needed to prepare for her role in the upcoming MCU movie. Portman plays Jane Foster aka Mighty Thor in the latest Thor film. The actress has previously starred as Thor, Thor: The Dark Worldand very briefly in Avengers: Endgame. With love and thunderPortman is returning to the MCU to star alongside Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, and other actors including Christian Bale, Russell Crowe and love and thunder director Taika Waititi as Korg.

As the posters and early advertisements indicate, Thor: Love and Thunder is thought to be much more Mighty Thor focused than the previous Thor movies. Writer-director Waititi said this Thor The film delves more into romantic storylines than previous films, though it’s unclear whether this means a romantic reunion of Thor and Jane or not. It is also clear from the first images of love and thunder that Jane wields the hammer in some scenes, though it’s not yet clear exactly how this happens in the story.

Now Portman is revealing the intense workout routine that went into playing Jane Foster. This included working with the weight of the cape, which Portman said required some upper body strength. “I trained a long time before and during, and I was doing all the protein shake [thing]. It really helped prepare me for the level of action we ended up doing. We had some amazing stunt doubles that made it really tough, but there’s still a lot of running and jumping, swords and hammer fights. It certainly helped to be strong. To have that weight of the cape all day, you want to have upper body strength.”

Even though Portman hasn’t done the most intense stunt work, it seems clear to him that his strength training has greatly helped the process. And it shows. Aided by his cape and armored suit, Portman’s Mighty Thor looks just as strong as Thor in early posters and trailers for love and thunder. While producer Kevin Feige admits the special effects team increased Mighty Thor’s size a bit for the role, he argues that was the only major computer modification for Portman’s role. The rest can then be attributed to Portman’s strict training regimen.

These workout and training details only add to the excitement for the epic action sequences to come. Thor: Love and Thunder. Portman teases a high”action levelfor the film, suggesting battle sequences of epic proportions. Waititi has shown considerable enthusiasm for Jane Foster Thor: love and thunder comeback, which he advocated despite not making an appearance on Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. As Portman returns to his role after almost a decade, it remains to be seen what updates and changes Waititi has in store.
