Pratik Vitthal Mohite (India) is 102 cm (3 ft 4 in) tall and is the shortest (male) competitive bodybuilder in the world.
Pratik first asked to set a new world record thanks to a friend’s suggestion, and although the pandemic has slowed the process, he is now proudly raising a GWR certificate.
“It was my dream to get a Guinness World Records title and it is such an honor to achieve it. I am very happy and so far it will be my biggest achievement in my career.” – Pratik Mohite
Beating a world record and appearing in Guinness World Records 2022 is of great significance to Pratik, who says seeing his name inside the book will be a life-changing moment.
“Getting recognition from Guinness World Records is a big step forward for me,” he says.
Pratik’s bodybuilding career began in 2012, not without some initial bumps in the road.
At first, during his training, he had difficulty grasping the equipment.
“People thought I was weak,” he said. But, thanks to hours of hard work in the gym and a vibrant mindset, Pratik has proven people wrong.
He wants to get the message across that anyone can do anything if they have a goal in mind and stay focused.
Pratik’s first participated in a competitive event in 2016.
“My family is very happy and proud of me and my friends are very supportive and helpful.”
To achieve his goals, he maintains a strict training regimen. His morning starts early with a 30-minute run.
After a healthy breakfast, which also includes special diet foods, in the afternoon, Pratik goes to the gym for two hours. He takes a few snaps for his Instagram while training, keeping his followers updated on his progress.
Another 30-minute run in the evening concludes his day. When not at the gym, Pratik enjoys playing cricket with his friends.
Pratik is heading towards an exciting future, filled with personal goals and new dreams to seize.
He intends to pursue bodybuilding and aims to open his own gym, where he will inspire and train future like-minded athletes.
There might even be more records in his future: Pratik can’t wait to attempt the record for most push-ups in one minute!
