One of the NFL’s strongest and fittest stars, Aaron Donald, relies heavily on a diet high in carbohydrates and fats. Interestingly, Donald defies the standard norm that high protein diets are necessary to achieve significant results. The experienced defensive lineman helped the Rams win two Super Bowls in three seasons. Currently, he is the only active player with three “Defensive Player of the Year” awards to his name.

According to the Rams public relations department, Donald’s diet consists of 30% fat, 50% carbohydrates and 20% protein. The superstar consumes 164 grams of fat, 616 grams of carbs and 245 grams of protein daily to hit his 5,000 calorie intake.

Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, once share about a visit to the Rams’ practice facility. He met All-Pro defensive lineman and Super Bowl champion Donald, and the duo found common ground on fitness.
